Ernest W. Byrne

Ernest W. Byrne, 92, New Albany, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany.
A native of Byrneville, born Jan. 24, 1914, he was the son of the late Charles O. and Goldie M. Kepley Byrne.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired Union carpenter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Belle White, and a daughter, Marilyn K. Norton.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl A. Byrne of New Albany and Nancy C. Reiter of Lanesville; a brother, Harbin Byrne of Georgetown; a sister, Jean Marshall of Saint George, Utah; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral: Monday, June 26, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in the Byrneville Cemetery.
Officiants: Elders Harlan Maymon and William Raine.
Organist: Carol Bridgewater.
Pallbearers: Randall and Gary Byrne, Casey Burns, David Payne, Rob Schaffer and Josh Walker.
