Barnett R. Ripperdan Sr.

Barnett Ray Ripperdan Sr., 68, Corydon, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at his home.
A native of Harrison County, born Aug. 8, 1937, he was the son of the late Stanley and Fern McCarty Ripperdan.
He was a self-employed plumber and air duct technician, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorla J. Prosser, in 1999, and two sisters Phyllis Gerrard and Lois Williams.
Survivors include eight sons, Michael Ray Ripperdan of Orangeburg, S.C., Barnett Ray Ripperdan Jr. of Indianapolis, Calvin Edward Ripperdan of Pelion, S.C., John Stanley Ripperdan of Tipton, Tim, Michael and Larry Scott, all of Anderson, and Kevin Scott of Corydon; five daughters, Sherre Hoeping of Indianapolis, Mary Lisa Mae Wilbur, Shirley Valentine and Theresa Kerr, all of Anderson, and Susan Kupher of Indianapolis; a brother, Robert Ripperdan of New Albany; two sisters, Sandra Ripperdan and Paula Hughes, both of Corydon; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be June 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. and June 22 after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
The funeral will be June 22 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Timberlake, Calvin Ripperdan Jr., Scotty Hughes, David Williams, Michael and Danny Wilbur, Kevin Scott and Jim Gerrard.
