George A. Schueler Jr.
George A. Schueler Jr., 70, Corydon, died Tuesday morning, June 6, 2006, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Lanesville, born Dec. 13, 1935, he was the son of the late George A. Jr. and Mary Schmelz Schueler.
He was a retired production worker at General Electric Co. in Louisville, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville and an Army veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Schueler of Bativia, Ohio, and Ronnie Schueler of Sellersburg; a daughter, Kathleen F. Leuthart of Lanesville; a brother, Francis Schueler of Lanesville; two sisters, Mary Litch of New Albany and Bernice Barr of Floyds Knobs; and six grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, June 8, from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 10, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, June 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Celebrant: Father Harold Ripperger.
Pallbearers: James Terrell, John Stilger, Alan Richmer, George Lamon, Jimmy Schneider, Roger Gerdon and Rick Skinner.
