Mary B. Cooper

Mary Bess Cooper, 85, Crawfordsville, formerly of Waynetown, Ind., and Hamilton, Ohio, died at 1:13 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006, at Williamsburg Nursing Home in Crawfordsville.
A native of Hamilton, Ohio, born June 24, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Bessie) Ludwig Grace.
She was a homemaker, a graduate of Hamilton High School and a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church of Crawfordsville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Russell Cooper Sr., on Dec. 14, 1986, and five brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene R. Cooper Jr. of Plainsfield and John Cooper of Lizton; two daughters, Janice Lee Clark of Crawfordsville and Patricia Hooten of Marengo; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen.
Visitation: Saturday, June 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Shoemaker Funeral Home in Waynetown with a memorial service at 3 p.m.
Officiant: Roscoe Hooten.
Burial of the cremains will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown.
