Robert L. Stroup

Robert L. Stroup, 75, Floyds Knobs, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Richwood, Mo., he was a retired machinist for C. Lee Cook Machine Shop in Louisville, a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Richwood and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sylvia L. Smith; two stepsons, Ed Mayfield of Georgetown and Gary Mayfield of Greenville; three stepdaughters, Billie Dahl of Floyds Knobs, Beverly Nash of Georgetown and Dee Alstott of Corydon; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, May 29, from 2 to 8 p.m.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at Seabrook Dieckman & Naville Funeral Home on Market Street in New Albany with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.
