Everett L. McCollum

Everett Lee McCollum, 76, Lanesville, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Harrison County, born Sept. 22, 1929, he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian Schoen McCollum.
He retired after 32 years as a chemical worker for the old B.F. Goodrich in Louisville and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Georgetown and Old Capitol Saddle Club in Corydon. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a special deputy for the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept. and helped form the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Dept.
Survivors include his wife, the former Gladys Adamson of Lanesville; two sons, Brian McCollum of New Albany and Brent McCollum of Lanesville; a daughter, Brenda Jacobi of Lanesville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, May 1, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown with burial in Wolfe Cemetery.
Officiants: Chaplain Lenne Keithley II and the Rev. Marvin Sweet.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund.
