Floyd H. Windell

Floyd H. Windell, 84, New Albany, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at his home.
A native of Corydon, he was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired machinist for the American Synthetic Rubber Co. in Louisville and a member of DePauw Masonic Lodge 338 F&AM, VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 and International Association of Machinists.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Wanda Jean Fiedler, and a sister, Mary Lee.
Survivors include a son, Glen Ray Windell; a daughter, Regina Gibson; a sister, Doris Wientjes; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Masonic service: Sunday, April 16, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home on Oak Street in New Albany.
Funeral: Monday, April 17, at the funeral home with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association or Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern Indiana.
