B.J. Wuletich, 90, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., formerly of New Middletown, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at his home of natural causes.
A native of Gary, born Feb. 4, 1916, he was the son of the late John and Cveta Gerun Wuletich.
He was a graduate of Indiana University and a World War II Pacific Theater veteran. He was employed as a thoroughbred trainer and farm manager for the old Westport Place Horse Farm in Pee Wee Valley, Ky., in the 1950s, the Illinois Stallion Station in Paxton, Ill., in the early 1960s and managed the Woodley Lone Farm in Middleburg, Va., in the late 1960s prior to retiring in 1969.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52-1/2 years, Suzanne Wuletich.
Survivors include a sister, Daisy Wuletich of Chesterton; a son, Ross Wuletich of New Middletown; a daughter, Suzanne Funk of Fort Walton Beach; five grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.
Funeral: March 18 with burial in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
