Aloysius Striegel

Aloysius L. Striegel, 87, Floyds Knobs, died Friday, March 24, 2006.
A native of Louisville, born May 11, 1918, he was the son of the late Aloysius A. and Rose Egler Striegel.
He retired from Boise Cascade Co. and was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Rosemary Peay and Tommy Lee Striegel.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, the former Martha Andres; nine children, Marvin, Tony and Marty Striegel, all of New Albany, Shirley Harbison, Robert Striegel, Barbara Ann Vance and Christine Bauman, all of Floyds Knobs, and Jeanette Hayden and Debbie Page, both of Corydon; a brother, Raymond Striegel of New Albany; 29 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary: Prayed Monday, March 27, at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, March 28, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
