Russell M. Hacker, 69, Corydon, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at his home.
A native of Hamilton, Ohio, born March 15, 1936, he was the son of the late Maynard and Viola Angel Hacker.
He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Army and a retired employee for the Social Services Division at Fort Knox, Ky., and a former employee of Eckart Supply Co. in Corydon, where he worked as a stockman and salesman.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ingrid Haubedauk, and a sister, Viola Kelley.
Survivors include a daughter, Mireille Ringle of New Albany; four brothers, Ray, Butch, Leroy and Wade Hacker, all of Anvil, Ky.; six sisters, Minnie Marsh of Elizabeth, Juanita Hardy of Henryville, Clara King of Rough River, Ky., Janet Stanfill of Hamilton, Barbara Lambe of Dayton, Ohio, and Henrietta Branham of Laconia; and two nephews, Maynard and Florian Jr. Marsh, both who cared for him.
Services are private. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon is handling the arrangements.
