Edward A. Knear

Edward A. Knear, 88, Elizabeth, died Thursday evening, Feb. 23, 2006, at Riverview village in Clarksville.
A native of Louisville, born Sept. 7, 1917, he was the son of the late Albert and Irene Hess Knear.
He was a farmer and attended Elizabeth United Methodist Church. He was a member of the old South Central School Board, and served on the board of directors of The Farmers State Bank and as vice president of Harrison County Farmers Mutual Insurance.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lillian Pearson; a son, Mackey Knear of Elizabeth; a brother, Ralph Knear of Elizabeth; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, Feb. 26, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiants: The Revs. Arlington Joe Hook and Dennis Brinkworth.
Pallbearers: Charles Shewmaker, Virgil Shaffer, James Crosier, Ronald Knear, John Miller and Bradley Knear.
Honorary pallbearers: William Curry, Carl LaDuke, James (Buck) Skaggs, Dillon Miller, and Collan and Preston Knear.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
