Hazel Fern Dillman, 96, Marengo, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at 8:50 p.m. at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
A native of Magnolia, born Nov. 8, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Ophia Ott Small.
She was a retired employee of ICI Americas, where she worked 25 years as an inspector and in other capacities. She and her husband, the late Ralph E. Dillman, who died in 1972, owned and operated Spring Lake, a commercial fishing lake on their family farm.
She was a 50-year-plus member of the old Dillman United Methodist Church in Curby prior to its closing, when she moved her membership to Marengo UMC.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Norman E. Dillman; a sister, Gertrude S. Perry; and a grandson.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin L. Dillman of Paoli, Merrill L. Dillman of Marengo and Harold E. Dillman of Corydon; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Feb. 6, at Marengo UMC with burial in Leavenworth Memorial Gardens in Leavenworth.
Officiants: The Revs. Leslie Grimsley and Bruce Hawkins.
Arrangements: Boone Funeral Home in Evansville.
