CC, NH swimmers net landmark victories

Corydon Central’s girls won the first-ever Mid-Southern Conference championship for swimming last week, 307-186 over Scottsburg. Silver Creek was third with 175 points, followed by North Harrison (127) and Salem (46).
North Harrison’s boys won their side of the M.S.C., 263-214 over rival Corydon Central. Salem was third (205), Charlestown was fourth (111) and Silver Creek was fifth (75). Scottsburg capped the field in sixth place with 52 points.
‘I am very proud of our girls’ efforts,’ said Corydon girls coach Alisa Burch. ‘We’ve had a very successful season. I am happy the Mid-Southern Conference has made swimming a conference sport so the girls can get the recognition they deserve.’
Winning times set new conference marks, winners were named all-conference and runners-up were named all-conference honorable mention.
