Helen E. Knopp

Helen Elaine Agan Knopp, 83, Louisville, formerly of Marengo, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at the Hospice and Palliative Unit of Baptist North East Hospital in LaGrange, Ky.
A native of Alton, born Feb. 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Christina Myers.
She was a resident of the Forum at Brookside, a past matron of Eastern Star 4825 and a member of Middletown United Methodist Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Leo H. Agan and Benjamin F. Knopp; two brothers, Richard and Lester Myers, and a sister, Rosemary Stroud.
Survivors include a son, Norman E. Agan of Georgetown; a daughter, Pamela A. Thomas of Louisville; a sister, Esther P. Friedel of Orleans; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral: Monday, Jan. 9, at Arch L. Heady Hikes Point Funeral Home in Louisville with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville or Middletown UMC.
