William R. (Bill) Cundiff, 75, Georgetown, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Evansville, born Sept. 20, 1930, he was the son of the late James A. and Pearl West Cundiff.
He worked for Strietmann/Keebler Cookie Co., and was an owner and operator of the former Cundiff’s Sunoco/Gulf Service Station in New Albany. He worked 15 years for Affordable Lawn Service and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, the former LaVerne Paul; two sons, William David Cundiff of Jeffersonville and Larry Steve Cundiff of Elizabeth; two daughters, Gloria McCarthy of Louisville and Juanita Nordhoff of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 23, after 9 a.m. at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 23, at noon at the funeral home with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lanesville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
