Dr. Gary F. Windell
Dr. Gary Franklin (Doc) Windell, 71, Corydon, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at his home.
A native of Harrison County, born Oct. 19, 1934, he was the son of the late James Lewis and Virgie Delilah Kintner Windell.
He was a retired veterinarian and farmer, a former Harrison County probation officer, a graduate of The Ohio State University and an alumni of Purdue University. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, The Next Step, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and the Catholic faith.
Survivors include two sons, Justin C. Windell of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Michael F. Windell of Corydon; five daughters, Elizabeth A. McLendon of Greensboro, Ga., Katrina Miller of Bedford, Amanda L. Haake of Palmyra, Susannah M. Windell of Los Angeles and Samantha Dye of Austin, Texas; a sister, Idalee LaHue of Snowflake, Ariz.; his ex-wife, Linda Ann Windell of Greensboro, Ga., and 18 grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 15, after 10 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
