Ray G. Baker

Ray G. Baker, 81, Fairmount, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Kindred Care Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Huntington County, born April 3, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank and Gladys Gamble Baker.
He was a former owner of Baker Plumbing and Heating in Fairmount from 1967 to 1980, and retired from Indiana Wesleyan University’s maintenance department, where he worked from 1980 to 1989. Following retirement, he was an employee of Fairmount Hardware and Paul Farr Lawn Service.
He was a member of Fairmount Wesleyan Church and Back Creek Boys Quartet.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Alice Fern Walters, on March 10, 1998, and a brother, Devoe Baker.
Survivors include two sons, Cloid Baker of Lawrenceburg and Ralph Baker of English; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 5, at Fairmount Wesleyan Church with burial in Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
Officiants: The Revs. Steve Fletcher, Richard Deisler and Ben Gray.
