Verlin G. Snider

Verlin G. Snider, 80, Georgetown, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Sellersburg Health and Rehab Center.
A native of New Albany, born July 4, 1925, he was the son of the late Irvin and Minnie Amelda Budd Snider.
He was a maintenance worker at Colgate/Palmolive Co. in Jeffersonville and a disabled Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Nellie Hockman; three daughters, Vera R. Hawkins of Henderson, Ky., Deborah S. Bell of New Salisbury and Sherry L. Lopez of Georgetown; two sisters, Wanda Cossel of Jeffersonville and LaVerne Kime of East Palm Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Yesterday, Nov. 29, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Pallbearers: Allan Broughton, Samuel Stone, Brian Bell, Shawn Lopez, James Beavens and Douglas Lopez.
