Goldie Mae Bowles, 82, Bloomington, died Nov. 5, 2005, at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center in Ellettsville.
A native of Corydon, born Feb. 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Strouse and Minnie Rainbolt Crecelius.
She was a homemaker prior to hiring on at Cook Inc., following the death of her husband, Leon Bowles, in 1976. She retired in 1993, and was a member of Red Hill Church.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Bowles; seven sisters, and a brother.
Survivors include five sons; Ronnie Bowles of Martinsville, Nick Bowles of Stanford, Randall and Don Bowles, both of Bloomington, and Danny Bowles of Spencer; three daughters, Jane Hicks of Bedford, Susie Halstead of Columbus and Linda (Liv) Matthias of Ellettsville; three sisters, Fern McKim and Alma Harbeson, both of Corydon, and Ruby Davis of Jeffersonville; 31 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with burial in Methodist Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Butch Temples.
