William L. Walker Jr.

William L. Walker Jr., 90, Marengo, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at 3:40 p.m. at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Louisville, born Oct. 2, 1915, he was the son of the late William L. Sr. and Minnie E. Ashby Walker.
He was a retired serviceman for General Electric Co. in Louisville, a member of Highland Baptist Church in Edwardsville and served in the Kentucky National Guard.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Thomas Walker, and a granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, the former Wilma G. Tyler; three sons, Vernon Walker of Milltown, Jerry Walker of Pleasant Lake and Keith Walker of Marengo; two daughters, Beverly Detenber of Corydon and Diana Main of Marengo; two brothers, Francis Walker of Louisville and Kenneth Walker of Fairdale, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, Oct. 30, at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown with burial in Milltown Cemetery. Officiant: Pastor Larry Joyce.
Pallbearers: Brad Anderson, Michael Benton, Gary Main Jr., Joseph Poe, Eric Walker and William L. Walker.
