HCH offers public flu shot clinics

Harrison County Hospital will offer public flu shot clinics on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at After Hours Care, 1995 Edsel Lane, at the North Corydon Professional Plaza, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at After Hours Care, and Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Dr. Lisa Clunie’s office, next door to After Hours Care.
The cost of the shot is $15. For those with Medicare, the hospital will handle the billing directly to Medicare. These clinics are for anyone 16 years and older.
Debbie Gibson, RN, the coordinator of infection control and employee health at HCH, said, ‘The vaccine is fully effective within two to three weeks of receiving the shot and provides immunity for three to four months. Flu vaccine is normally administered now for a December through March flu season.’
Both locations are in the North Corydon Professional Plaza near the Corydon Cinemas., just off S.R. 135. Plenty of parking is available.
