Robert M. Carter

Robert M. Carter, 81, St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Georgetown, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Maria Manor St. Petersburg.
He retired from International Harvester in Louisville and was a member of Georgetown Optimist Club. He managed the golf course at the old Corydon Country Club from 1977 to 1983.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, the former Carolyn Thomas; a son, Ric Carter of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Lisa Bottorff of St. Charles, Ill.; two brothers, Don and Larry Carter, both of Georgetown; a stepdaughter, Debbie Webb of New Albany; a stepson, Kevin Sinex of Windermere, Fla.; four grandchildren; a great-grandson, and four stepgrandchildren.
Memorial service: Saturday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Georgetown.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Chicago.
