Douglas Ragland

Douglas L. Ragland, 62, Crandall, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Bibb County, Ala., he was the son of the late H.G. and Vashti Ragland.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, the former Linda Johnson; two sons, Virgil Ragland of Vivian, La., and John Ragland of Palmyra; a daughter, Melanie Hasenstab of Pekin; two brothers, Lamar Ragland of Prattville, Ala., and Lancey Ragland of Greenville, W. Va.; six sisters, Doris Owens and Evelyn Deason, both of Centreville, Ala., Maude Wyers and Sewilla Walters, both of Hoover, Ala., Margaret Taylor of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ina Portwood of Selma, Ala., and six grandchildren.
Funeral: Sept. 19 at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall.
Officiant: The Rev. Virgil Ragland.
Organist: Dianne Wininger.
Vocalist: Danny Johnson.
Pallbearers: Donald and James Johnson, Tim and Donald Kornegay, Cecil Taylor, Tony Brooks, Larry Bauer and Tom Pevlor.
Honorary pallbearers: Lamar Ragland and Melvin Beach.
