Floyd B. Simpson

Floyd B. Simpson, 83, Georgetown, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Hindman, Ky., born Dec. 15, 1921, he was the son of the late Price and Matilda Mullins Simpson.
He was a retired electrician and maintenance employee for B.F. Goodrich.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Saenger.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Simpson of McClinie, Fla., and Ronald and Gary Simpson, both of Georgetown; three daughters, Mary Carol Day of Pekin, Linda Lou Owens of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Joy N. Scott of Corydon; two sisters, Okla Smith of Florence, Ky., and Edna Taulbee of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 10, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown. The body was cremated.
Officiant: The Rev. Andy Thomas.
