Jesse H. Adams
Jesse Hillard Adams, 79, Eckerty, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at 5:15 a.m. at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Letcher County, Ky., born Nov. 15, 1925, he was the son of the late James and Susan Day Adams.
He was a retired mechanic and welder, a veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Community Chapel Church at Eckerty, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, the former Ivolene Combs; four sons, Kevin Adams of English, Lennie and Ronnie Adams, both of Taswell, and Gary Adams of Eckerty; six daughters, Janina Faulkenburg of Taswell, Melanie Littell of Evansville, Reba Toby of St. Anthony, Renae Seals of Loogootee, Dana Bertges of Beargersville and Delilah Boeglin of Cato; 26 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 25, after 11 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. at the Community Chapel Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Watson Combs.
