Final Bluegrass concert Saturday

The final Bluegrass on the Square Concert will be held Saturday on the grounds of the Corydon Capital State Historic Site. There are actually two concerts, and they will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
The concert will feature performances by two well-known regional acts: Old Louisville Express at 4 p.m. and Storefront Congregation two hours later. This is the third year Storefront Congregation has played here.
‘They’re a fan favorite, because they’re from this area,’ said concert organizer Sean Hawkins.
‘Lauren Guernsey, a bass player and singer, is fantastic,’ Hawkins said. Her husband, Ivan Guernsey, is one of the finest dobro players in the country, and he also makes the instruments, Hawkins said.
‘Old Louisville Express is known for its well-arranged harmonies and tight instrumental approach. Storefront Congregation is one the finest bands in the region with a wide variety of original songs featuring beautiful harmonies and expert instrumental accompaniment,’ said Hawkins, who is the community development manager for the Harrison County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
