Ruth Edwards

Ruth M. Edwards, 83, Depauw, died at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at Wedgewood Healthcare Center in Clarksville.
A native of Ramsey, born April 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John Andrew and Netta Rudolph Walker.
She was a homemaker and member of the former Nazarene Church in Milltown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Edwards; two sisters, Carmen Mendell and Ruby Howerton, and two grandsons.
Survivors include three sons, Sonnie Edwards of English, Wade Edwards of Depauw and David Edwards of Milltown; four daughters, Jessie Joann Allen and Sharron Pease, both of Depauw, Carlotta Atwood of Ramsey and Nettie L. Bell of New Albany; a sister, Virginia Bube of New Albany; 26 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Aug. 6, at Milltown Christian Church with burial in Milltown Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Philo Jones.
Vocalist and pianist: Danny Jones.
Arrangements: Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown.
Pallbearers: Stephen Allen, Charles Atwood II, Chris Brown, Tommy Goldman, and Larry and Paul Pease.
