Marion Smith Jr.

Marion Smith Jr., 79, Greenville, S.C., formerly of Milltown, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Saint Francis Hospital in Greenville, S.C.
A native of Petersburg, born March 29, 1926, he was the son of the late Marion Sr. and Marie Wheatley Smith.
He was a retired salesperson and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eleanor Lofton.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Sturtevant of Greenville, S.C.; a brother, Kenneth C. Smith of Petersburg; three sisters, Mary Lou Smith, Norma Woolsey and Noretta Moske, all of Petersburg; two grandsons, and a great-grandson.
Graveside service: Monday, Aug. 8, at Milltown Cemetery.
Arrangements: Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown.
