Robert Boehman

Robert U. Boehman, 60, Jasper, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005, at St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital in Boonville.
A native of St. Meinrad, born Aug. 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Louis E. and Evelyn Fischer Boehman.
He retired from Jasper Rubber Products, where he worked 30 years, and served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was a past board member at Marian Height Academy, former president of the Institute of Management Accounting, and former member of Jasper City Council.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where he was a member of the choir and served on the church council, Jasper Knights of Columbus and Jasper Jaycees.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis I. Boehman, and a sister, Anita Boehman.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Ellen Keller; a son, Greg Boehman of Mishawaka; two stepdaughters, Nicole Leonhart of New York and Erin Leonhart of Seattle; three sisters, Lina Beckman of Jasper, Sue Grundhoefer of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mary Neiss of San Francisco; a brother, Steve Boehman of Lanesville, and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 27, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral: Thursday, July 28, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in St. Meinrad Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church choir.
