Leona M. Nixon

Leona M. Nixon, 81, Jasper, died at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
A native of Dubois, born Sept. 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rosa Theising Hentrup.
She was a homemaker and worked for Alvin C. Ruxer for several years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosella Lintz, Veronica Messenger and Brenda Bohne; four brothers, Alois, Urban, Gilbert and Ralph Hentrup; a sister, Mary Theresa, who died in infancy, and a grandson.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas J. Nixon of English, Ronald P. Nixon of Celestine and Bernie Nixon of Jasper; three daughters, Mary Huber and Bernadette Hopf, both of Jasper, and Katherine Terwiskie of Parker, Colo.; two brothers, Wilfred Hentrup of Preston, Idaho, and Jerome Hentrup of Floyds Knobs; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, July 16, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements: Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper.
