Robert L. Walther, 76, Corydon, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Harrison County, born March 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary Elizabeth Luther Walther.
He owned and operated Walther Trucking Co., was a member of the Lanesville Heritage Committee and VFW Post 2950 in Corydon, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a life member of American Legion Hornickel Post in Elizabeth and a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanesville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Maelee Trumper; three sons, Terry and Dale Walther, both of Corydon, and David Walther of Lanesville; a daughter, Nancy Schneider of Corydon; a stepson, Michael Kost of St. Louis; a stepdaughter, Vivian Kost of Huntington, W.Va.; a sister, Margery Schoen of Elizabeth, and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 6, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Thursday, July 7, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, July 8, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at his church with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Richard Heinz.
