Archie Kintner Sr.

Archie K. Kintner Sr., 85, Corydon, died Sunday, July 3, 2005, at his home.
A native of Corydon, born May 8, 1920, he was the son of the late John William and Maude Pankey Kintner.
He was a retired millwright and genealogist, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church. He received a Purple Heart.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Kintner.
Survivors include three sons, Archie Jr. and John D. Kintner, both of Corydon, and William M. Kintner of Monroe, N.C.; four sisters, Edna Owens of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary Lively and Francie Stoltz, both of Louisville, and Billie Mae Boone of Lanesville; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 6, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 7, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Rick Utz.
Pallbearers: Troy Reynolds, Joe Hastings, Glen Melton, Joey Kintner, John W. Kintner and Paul R. Owen.
Honorary pallbearer: Sgt. John D. Kintner Jr.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society in memory of Harriet Kintner.
