Old Capital Golf to again host fireworks extravaganza

The Old Capital Golf Club will again play host as Zambelli Internationale lights up the Corydon sky with a pyrotechnic celebration July 3 at approximately 10 p.m.
The donations funding the display have grown from $5,000 in 1995 to $20,000 the past year. Caesars was again the top donor this year, and Zambelli, the annual designer of Thunder Over Louisville, has crafted a new display comparable in cost to that of last year.
Larry Bennett and Trent Gulley are co-chairs of the Kiwanis Club of Historic Harrison County event. Spectators should tune their radios to 1550 A.M. for the soundtrack for the Fireworks Celebration, Bennett said.
Shuttles busses provided by Blue River Services will be available beginning at 7 p.m. to buss viewers from parking at Corydon Central High School to the golf club.
