Garland R. Saltsgaver

Garland Ray (Salty) Saltsgaver, 75, Leavenworth, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Crawford County, born March 20, 1930, he was the son of Mary Jane Saltsgaver of Leavenworth and the late Ruel Saltsgaver.
He was a retired forklift operator for the old I.C.I. Americas in Charlestown and an Army veteran.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Steven Saltsgaver, and a brother, Leroy Saltsgaver.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lorene Schotter; five sons, Dan Saltsgaver of Paoli, Ken Saltsgaver of Leavenworth, Bill Saltsgaver of Depauw, and Scott and Ed Saltsgaver, both of Milltown; four daughters, Pat Saltsgaver of Depauw, Terry Harned of Milltown, Julie Bourland of Leavenworth and Sandy Kingsley of Corydon; a brother, Charles Saltsgaver of Marengo; 29 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 8, from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Thursday, June 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the old St. Joseph Cemetery.
Officiants: The Revs. Jeff Reed and Larry Hensley. Organist: Danny Jones.
