All but done, Pearson’s in at NH

Hal Pearson’s had quite a ride involving the hardwood: he played basketball at Crawford County and Indiana University Southeast, coached the junior varsity boys at North Harrison (to a perfect season in one campaign) a few years ago, and then returned to his roots to coach girls varsity at Crawford for the past four seasons.
Now, pending the formality of board approval, Pearson is expected to be named the new varsity girls coach at North Harrison this week in a regularly scheduled meeting of the North Harrison Community School Corp.
Pearson, who teaches at North Harrison, ran up a record of 36-48 at the helm of the Lady Pack.
He had back to back winning seasons in 2003 and 2004 (each at 11-10).
In a domino effect, look for Pearson’s assistant coach at Crawford, Eric Toney, to slide into the Lady Pack’s head coaching position.
