Harold F. Walter

Harold F. Walter, 86, Sellersburg, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at his home.
A native of Corydon, born March 31, 1919, he was the son of the late Frank and Jenny Merle Walter.
He was a retired brake mechanic for Firestone in New Albany, a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma L. Walter.
Survivors include a son, James Walter of Navilleton; four daughters, Janet Gill of Sebring, Fla., Barbara Greene of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Bonnie Curry of Decatur, Ill., and Jodie Seng of Sellersburg; three brothers, Charles and Carl Walter, both of Corydon, and Robert Walter of Meadville, Pa.; a sister, Anna Lee Crosier of Corydon; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 25, after 11 a.m. at Seabrook-Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home on Oak Street in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Graceland Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Victory Junction Gang Camp.
