More than 2,200 pounds of marijuana were seized Thursday from Dennis Dahl.

A Corydon man was arrested last week following a long-term investigation that netted more than 2,200 pounds of marijuana worth more than $3 million.
Dennis Dahl, 51, who lives in the 700 block of Pfrimmer’s Chapel Road east of Corydon, is in federal custody after his arrest Thursday. He was scheduled to appear in court yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept., a confidential source claimed to have bought 200 pounds of marijuana a week from Dahl.
‘The source met with Dahl on Thursday while being monitored by the investigating officers,’ said Chief Gary Gilley. ‘The officers followed Dahl to a location in Brandenburg, where he picked up 250 pounds of marijuana then returned to Harrison County, where the drugs were exchanged for $25,000, a partial payment.’
Officers said the marijuana was ‘high quality’ and had an estimated street value of more than $3.3 million. The marijuana was wrapped in 6- to 20-pound packages, police said. It was not known at the time if the marijuana was grown locally.
Other agencies involved in the arrest were the Drug Enforcement Administration, Southern Indiana Drug Task Force, Louisville Metro Police, Indiana and Kentucky State Police, Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Meade County (Ky.) Sheriff’s Dept.
The investigation is continuing.
