Fern E. Neafus

Fern Elizabeth Neafus, 84, Corydon, died Sunday, April 17, 2004, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Midway, Ky., born Sept. 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Casius and Emma Newkirk McHatton.
She was a former employee of Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services and H.A. Seinsheimer & Co., both in New Albany, and a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
Survivors include three daughters, Nina Shawler of Satsuma, Ala., Illah King of Corydon and Pamela Edwards of Ramsey; a sister, Margie Utz of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 19, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in New Middletown United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Webster Oglesby.
Pallbearers: Troy and Shawn Edwards, Richard and Randall Shawler, Joshua Melton, David Brewster and Kenneth Wallace Jr.
