Arthur P. Burns

Arthur P. Burns, 78, New Salisbury, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the home of his daughter, Karen Davis, in New Salisbury.
A native of Georgetown, born Feb. 23, 1927, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Loretta Miller Burns.
He retired from Falls City Machine Technologies in Louisville, was a former employee of Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, the former Helen L. Brandenburg and Olive Marie Barnickle.
Survivors besides his daughter include a son, Barry Burns of New Salisbury; three other daughters, Beverly Miller of Delaware, Ohio, and Charline Quick and Rosalie Bluebaugh, both of Greensboro, N.C.; his companion, Ruth Harrison of Greenville; four brothers, Robert Burns of New Albany, Ivan Rochner of Lanesville, Jay Rochner of New Albany and James Rochner of Leavenworth; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, April 10, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Central Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Glenda Riggs.
Pallbearers: Jeremy Burns, Austin Davis, Jeff Kiper, Derrill Barnickle, Keith Hertel, Kevin Sharrer, and Steve and Aaron Simpson.
Honorary pallbearers: Andrew and Siera Burns.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana.
