Joyce J. Duncan

Joyce Joann (Tootie) Duncan, 53, Leavenworth, died Thursday, March 31, 2005, after a long illness that included 28 days in intensive care at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
Born July 30, 1951, she was the daughter of Goldia Juanita McDaniel Sherron of Marengo and the late Arnold Cox.
She was a homemaker and employed for more than 20 years at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, where she supervised housekeeping, laundry and janitors for 13 years. She retired in July 2004 due to failing health.
She attended Marengo Christian Missionary Church.
Survivors besides her mother include her husband of 28 years, Charles Darr Duncan; three brothers, Ralph David and Ronald Lee Sherron, both of Marengo, and Charles Russell Sherron of Taswell; a sister, Sherry Lynn Jenkins of Marengo; a half-brother, Darrell Cox of Brandenburg; a half-sister, Pamela Herbaugh of English, and a grandmother, Nora Baker of Marengo.
Funeral: Monday, April 4, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in White Cemetery south of Marengo.
Officiant: The Rev. Morris Larimore.
Pallbearers: Charles Darr Duncan, James William Duncan, Robert Dean Duncan, Ralph David Sherron, Steven Laws and Glen Laws.
