Arthur R. Blunk

Arthur Raymond Blunk, 86, New Albany, died Saturday, April 2, 2005.
A native of Elizabeth, born June 21, 1918, he was the son of the late Wiley and Ester Bour Blunk.
He was reared by his grandparents, the late Robert and Hattie Blunk, as his mother died seven days after his birth.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, an accountant for Blue Cross and Blue Shield before retiring in 1980 after 25 years, and a member of VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, the former Beatrice (Peach) Lewis; two daughters, Jo Ann Frakes of Floyds Knobs and Juanita Lamb of New Albany; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home on Market Street in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693.
