The Rev. W. Martin Pitts Jr.
The Rev. W. Martin Pitts Jr., 77, Corydon, died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Noblesville, born June 11, 1927, he was the son of the late Walter M. Sr. and Hazel Smith Pitts.
He was a retired Methodist minister for several churches in Harrison and Washington counties, a licensed poultry judge and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a former employee of the old Caubles Hatchery in Corydon, and a member of Indiana Poultry Breeders Association, American Poultry Association and American Bantam Association.
Survivors include his wife, the former Emmajean Warrenburg; four sons, Louis, Jimmy, Clyde David and Danny Pitts, all of Corydon; two daughters, Marcia Bube of Ramsey and Ruth Byerly of Corydon; a brother, Ronald Pitts of Holt, Mich., and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, March 21, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Wilson Groover.
Pallbearers: Brent Stonecipher, Jeff and Justin Byerly, Ethan Bliss, Dennis and Zachary Bube, Jake Pitts and Dennis Gibson.
