NH-grad Chad Miller selected as All-American
Chad Nate Miller, a graduate of 2003 from North Harrison High School, was named a National Christian College Athletic Association All-American this week.
Miller, who is a 6-1 sophomore at Oakland City, led the Mighty Oaks in scoring with a 14.1 ppg. average this past season.
Miller also broke the single season mark for 3-point field goals in a season (109), a record previously held by current Lady Oak Head Coach Clint Weddle.
The Mighty Oaks (20-11) finished sixth in the NCCAA Tournament on Saturday.
Teammate Zach Meir was an honorable mention All-American.
Miller made five three-point goals in Saturday’s 82-79 fifth-place loss to Central Baptist, with the final triple being the record-breaker.
For the season, Miller led his team by hitting an eye-popping 109 of 238 (45.8) from Three-Point Land.
He was 148-306 (48.4 percent) overall from the field.
Miller is Oakland City’s first NCCAA First-Team All-American since Ryan Kerns in 2002.
Miller ranks 7th on the all-time scoring list at North Harrison.
He is the son of Nate and Teresa Miller of Ramsey.
