Robert L. Ashby

Robert L. Ashby, 75, Corydon, died Sunday morning, March 6, 2005, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Seymour, born March 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Phillip and Effie May Carr Ashby.
He was a retired industrial mechanic at Ford Motor Co., a Navy veteran and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Terrell Ashby.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ethelene Mifflin; two daughters, Charlene Ashby Chanley of Corydon and Chandra Ashby-Fischer of Prospect, Ky.; a sister, Betty Tayes of Columbus; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 9, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Officiant: David White.
Pallbearers: Jason Ashby, John Fischer, Matthew Conrad, Neil Murphy, Justin McKim and Brady Herbert.
