Public meeting set for review of former Keller plant
Main Street Corydon will host a preview of the Keller Manufacturing Site Redevelopment Plan on Wednesay, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m.
The public hearing will allow the general public to ask questions about the project as well as gain insight to the planning process. The hearing will be held at the Leora Brown School on Summit Street in Corydon. Refreshments will be served.
‘A proper development at the Keller site holds tremendous potential for improving the economic conditions of downtown Corydon,’ said Bud Bennett, president of Main Street Corydon.
‘The planning stage is the start of us gathering the site conditions that potential developers will want to know about and will help us understand the environmental hazards the site may hold.’
The public hearing will be led by the Estopinal Group, a Jeffersonville consulting firm. Topics to be discussed include site analysis, structural analysis of the historic brick buildings on the site, infrastructure analysis, environmental assessment, traffic evaluation and site redevelopment alternatives.
