Gladys M. Byerley, 84, Corydon, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at her home.
A native of Harrison County, born Feb. 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Lelia Gresham Carpenter.
She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Byerley.
Survivors include six sons, Robert Crone of Marengo, Paul Crone of Depauw, Richard Crone of Emporia, Kan., Charles Crone of Randallman, N.C., Michael Crone of Archdale, N.C., and Ronald Crone of Corydon; two daughters, Doris Burns of Decatur and Nancy Boyle of Corydon; a stepson, Terry Byerley of Corydon; a stepdaughter, Janet Dobson of Corydon; a brother, Guy Carpenter of New Salisbury; a sister, Grace Garmon of Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 26, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Heidelberg Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Ron Russell.
Pallbearers: Robert, Danny, Tony and Alan Crone, Jamie Dobson and Aaron Atchinson.
