Callie Asher-Bishop Howard, 84, Brodhead, Ky., died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Brodhead.
A native of Stinnett, Ky., born June 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Beldon Goodwin and Maultie Langdon Asher.
She was a homemaker and attended Pine Hill Holiness Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Delbert Bishop and Edgar Howard; a brother, Wesley Asher; two sisters, Lois Asher and Etta Brandenburg, and a grandson.
Survivors include her children, Janette Brown Igo and Roy Lee Bishop, both of Brodhead, Gene Bishop, Merrill Asher and Darlene Bishop Pitts, all of Lexington, Ky., Dale Bishop of Somerset, Ky., and Debbie B. Lewis of Harrodsburg, Ky.; three brothers, Raymond Asher of Brodhead, Beldon Asher Jr. of New Salisbury and Waldo Asher; four sisters, Cathy Asher of Pine Knot, Ky., Helen Wilson of Richmond, Norma Floyd of Brodhead and Marion Byrd of Lynn; 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Jan. 24, at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Allen Hensley.
Pallbearers: Dallas Hopkins, Kevin Bishop, Tony Shelton, Terry Lewis, Keith Pitts and Earl Igo.
