Dorothy Adams

Dorothy Stalker Adams, 92, New Albany, formerly of Harrison County, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at her home.
A native of Borden, born Nov. 24, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Charles Homer and Lois Burns Stalker.
She was a 1930 graduate of New Albany High School and attended Spencerian College prior to working for Drs. J.W. Sr., James R., and Samuel Baxter. She worked as a bookkeeper for Adams Custom Veneers from 1968 to 1993, and was a member of Central Christian Church from the time she was baptized in 1922. She also graduated in 1981 from Indiana University with a degree in English.
She was preceded in death by a son, Frank M. Adams Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Frank M. Adams; a daughter, Susan Lois, and two grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held Monday, Jan. 10, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home on Market Street in New Albany with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to VistaCare Hospice or Week of Compassion, Central Christian Church, 1315 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN 47150.
