Edward L. Hudson Sr.

Edward Lee Hudson Sr., 84, Evansville, formerly of Corydon, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital.
A native of Shelbyville, Ky., born April 19, 1920, he was the son of the late Elmer F. and Minnie Crawford Hudson.
He retired in 1975 after 39 years as a retired zone manager for Kroger and was a life member of the Masonic Lodge in Sellersburg, Buckner Lodge, Free Masons, Scottish Rite and Hadi Shrine. He was also a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of North Haven Baptist Church in Evansville and attended Ever Ready Sunday School.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Louise Hudson, and a sister, Ola Margaret Christley.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Mildred Louise (Dolly) Hudson; three sons, Edward, Terry and Tim Hudson, all of Evansville; two sisters, Diane Whitlow of Sarasota, Fla., and Carol Rhine of Martinsville; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 31, at Browning Funeral Home in Evansville with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to North Haven Baptist Church.
