William O. Martin, 89, Georgetown, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at his home.
A native of New Salisbury, born Aug. 8, 1915, he was the son of the late Oswell and Barbara E. Heuser Martin.
He was a retired farmer, a former director and member of Jackson Township Farm Bureau, a former board member of the Harrison County Alcohol Beverage Commission and Harrison County Bank, and a past president and member of Eagles Lodge 2794 in Corydon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruth E. Fisher; a brother, Walter Martin, and a sister, Lois E. Dome.
Survivors include a son, Joseph E. Martin of Georgetown; two brothers, Franklin Martin of Indianapolis and Donald Martin of New Salisbury, and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 1 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 16, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall.
